Bad Channels is a mind-fuck. Thats the simplest way to put it. From that master of schlock, Charles Band, comes this weird and surreal sci-fi spoof. A radio station is taken over by 2 aliens who use the airwaves to capture young women. The women are miniaturised and kept in strange glass cylinders. Its super cheesy and is the kind of movie Ed Wood would be making if he were still alive... but it looks good. In fact it is one of the best looking of the Full Moon ProductionsI know of. Adding to the chaos is a weird soundtrack by Blue Oyster Cult and surreal appearances from other bands including The Psychotic Sinfony who perform a strange and funky musical sequence. These moments draw comparisons to Richard Elfman's Forbidden Zone with their fantasy based lyrics and otherworldly costumes. Bad Channels isn't a movie I can recommend unless you are already and established fan of Charles Band. To anyone else it would be stupid and pointless... but to us, it's insanely awesome. Oddly, the movie also serves as a companion piece to two other Full Moon franchises; Dollman and Demonic Toys. Dollman even makes an appearance post credits.
